Patient Scheduler and Transport Driver

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport patients to and from rehabilitation appointments, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Assist patients with mobility needs, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.
• Call physician offices to schedule appointments for the patients.
• Knowledge and experience of the Microsoft Office Suite as well as ability to perform administrative duties
• Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and rehabilitation staff to coordinate schedules and address any concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized transport vehicle, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and in good condition.
• Monitor patients during transport, observing for any changes in condition and reporting concerns to medical staff.
• Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes at rehabilitation facilities.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
• Provide support in other areas of the rehabilitation facility as needed.

Qualifications:

• CPR/BLS certification Required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare or transportation is a plus.
• Previous experience in patient transport, healthcare, or a related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to lift and assist patients as needed, adhering to safety guidelines.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and comfortable driving 15-passenger bus
