About the Role
Ready for a role that offers variety, growth, and exposure to every side of healthcare operations? As a apart of the UCLA Health's Ambulatory Float Team, you'll serve as a versatile administrative professional, providing seamless support across a wide range of departments.
In this unique role, you'll have the opportunity to support functions such as Finance, Human Resources, Executive Administration, and Ambulatory Operations, while also floating to UCLA Health clinics. Each assignment offers the chance to learn new workflows, build diverse skills, and collaborate with teams across the health system.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can quickly adapt to new teams, priorities, and responsibilities while maintaining exceptional service and professionalism. Success in this role requires a highly flexible, enthusiastic, and proactive approach, along with the ability to confidently navigate changing assignments and support a variety of operational needs.
Travel Requirements
Travel to all UCLA Health Ambulatory Community Clinics throughout Southern California is required, and you must be physically present at assigned worksites. Assignment locations are based on operational needs and are subject to change. Work hours may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Although travel to all UCLA Health community practices is required, current staffing needs are primarily located in the Los Angeles region, including:

Required:
Ability to travel to various UCLA Health locations and be physically present at the assigned work site
Ability to work various days and shifts, including occasional weekends; days and hours may vary based on assignments
High school diploma required
Minimum of 6 months of administrative experience
Minimum of 6 months of experience in a customer service-related role providing direct customer service and service recovery
Familiarity and knowledge of authorization process and managed care programs
Experience with Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities Ability to creatively integrate competing demands into a productive working environment.
Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with faculty, staff, administration, and patients from various social, cultural, and economic backgrounds
Ability to interact diplomatically and professionally with a patient population in varying degrees of health
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex problems in both formal and informal settings
Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated adaptability, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred:
As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
