| I am requesting three full-time Registration positions to support ED coverage across all three shifts within our 24/7 operation. We currently have 6.0 vacant positions, which has significantly limited our ability to maintain adequate staffing and consistent coverage. These positions would provide additional support across all shifts and may include every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday coverage during the designated retention period. This additional staffing is necessary to maintain appropriate coverage, support timely registration, and ensure we can meet the department s operational and patient-care requirements. We currently have 6.0 vacant positions within the department, and do not have sufficient in-house staffing to consistently meet the department s operational needs and requirements. Additionally, a significant number of staff members have intermittent FMLA, which can result in call-outs and early departures during already busy periods. This further impacts our ability to maintain adequate coverage and meet departmental demands. | |||
