    Join Our Team:

    We are searching for a part-time Patient Service Representative for our Primary Care Partners office located at 13303 Tesson Ferry!

    Opportunity:

    • Part-time opening
    • 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. 3 days a week. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
    • No evenings, weekends or holidays
    • Not benefit eligible
    • Outpatient clinical practice

    Day-to-Day:

    • The main responsibility for this position is completing prior authorizations.

    • The PSR will be cross-trained to occasionally:

    • Perform patient check-in/check-out

    • Schedule patient appointments

    • Collect co-payments

    • Verify insurance

    • Register patients/update patient demographics

    • Answer the telephone

    Who we are seeking (preferred):

    • The Patient Service Representative is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive office image at all times including smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
    • Formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • 1 or more years of experience working with the public, preferably in a healthcare setting.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology,
    • Knowledge of the different types of health insurance plans; i.e. HMO's, PPO's, etc.
    • PC/Windows proficiency.
    • Medical coding familiarity.
    • Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.
