Patient Services Liaison

Position Summary

We are currently looking for a Patient Services Liaison to join our rapidly growing team at Westchester Medical Center! Our ideal candidate has the ability to build rapport with patients, health care providers, and insurance companies in a compassionate and efficient manner over the phone. The perfect candidate enjoys collaborating with a team of passionate individuals in a dynamic office environment and loves learning new things in a fast-paced, ever-evolving company.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service over the phone

• Coordination of ambulance transportation for multiple facilities

• Obtain insurance information, verifications & authorizations

• Utilize a CAD system

• Basic data entry

• Scan/upload documentations onto CAD system

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 1-year customer service or related experience in a medical environment

• Familiarity with insurance verifications and authorizations

• Ability to work alongside team members in a high call volume setting

• Detail-oriented

• Computer savvy: individual with proven software proficiency in software programs such as Excel.

• Personable, warm, empathetic, and professional in communication style over the phone

• Ability to learn new things and apply them in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment

Work Environment

• Work is performed under normal working conditions, as in a standard office or hospital environment.

Physical Requirements

• High level of sitting/working at a desk

• Light physical effort (lift/carry up to 10 lbs.)

• Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
