Job Summary

Morrison Healthcare is seeking an experienced Patient Services Manager to join our leadership team at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, part of the University of Miami Health System in Miami, Florida. This is a full-time position that will require rotating weekend and holiday coverage.

This leader will oversee daily patient dining operations, ensuring exceptional service, regulatory compliance, and an outstanding patient experience. Working collaboratively with clinical nutrition, nursing, and Food & Nutrition leadership, the Patient Services Manager will lead a team dedicated to providing safe, accurate, and compassionate meal service to oncology patients.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is passionate about hospitality, patient satisfaction, and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation of Patient Dining Services, ensuring timely, accurate meal delivery and exceptional customer service.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop frontline associates while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Registered Dietitians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient dietary requirements and food preferences are accurately communicated and executed.
• Monitor patient satisfaction metrics and implement action plans to improve the overall patient dining experience.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, Joint Commission, and regulatory standards, including food safety, HIPAA, patient rights, and infection prevention requirements.
• Monitor productivity, staffing, and operational performance while maintaining quality and service standards.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives and support department and hospital-wide performance goals.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) and diet office systems to support efficient patient meal service operations.
• Promote a culture centered on safety, hospitality, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree with at least one (1) year of foodservice leadership experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality Management, Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
• One or more years of supervisory or management experience in healthcare foodservice, preferably within an acute care hospital.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Registered Diet Technician (DTR), or Registered Dietitian (RD) credentials are preferred.
• ServSafe Certification is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records, diet office software, Microsoft Office Suite, and patient meal service systems.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with clinical staff while leading high-performing frontline teams.
