Payrate: 25/hr

- EPIC Experience
- Experience with customer service over the phone/front desk/check-in

Start date: ASAP
Aligning start bi-weekly for NEO Epic training(s)
Timeline between offer and hire may be between 2-4 weeks
Shift: 5x8 0800-1630 M-F, no holidays
13 Weeks, willing to extend longer as needed after evaluating staff coverage

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Graduate of High school, or equivalent
-One year of experience in a health care setting, or three years of general office or community services experience or equivalent education/experience.
-EPIC Experience

SUMMARY: Reports to Patient Care Coordinator Supervisor. Using the order entry system, PSS2 is responsible for generating orders for radiology exams. PSS2 will also schedule outpatient & inpatient procedures. These include: Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, & Nuclear Medicine. They are also responsible in maintaining accurate departmental billing. Independently provide support services, coordinate care with other services, and provide information about services.

Answering and screening, triage all telephone calls within the departmental communication system, utilize departmental paging system and contact on-call personnel and Radiologist as needed
Respond to patient questions; provide directions to different clinics, units, modalities, parking, eating facilities.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Using EPIC, Schedule and reschedule a variety of Radiology exams following approved protocol for each exam
Utilize financial clearance matrix when scheduling outpatient procedures
Communicate various types of information to patients, referral agencies, departments, physicians, and the community, such as registration policies, insurance coverage, billing procedures, radiology scheduling, and instructions on preparation for various radiology procedures.
Assist patients in completing various documents such as pre-procedure forms for various types of radiology procedures.
Facilitate patient check-in & check-out process by verifying patient identity, coordinate obtaining interpreter, arrange/request patient transportation internally & externally.
Utilize Accu-Reg to ensure Minimum Data Set has been provided by patient to ensure proper billing.
Perform general clerical duties such as processing the mail, stocking supplies
Understand and adheres to the National Patient Safety Goals and described yearly by the Joint Commission.
