    Description

    General Responsibilities:

This role supports pavement data processing, GIS data preparation, field data collection support, quality control, and contractor coordination for Pave-AI workflows. The position requires an investigative mindset, collaborative problem-solving, and attention to detail to prepare, process, verify, document, and deliver pavement, imagery, GIS, and related project data. The role works closely with internal teams and contracted processing partners to communicate expectations, resolve questions, review completed work, and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and scalability.

    Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Track and download video updates to the Pave-AI portal while monitoring data patterns, processing needs, and opportunities to improve workflow efficiency.
    • Review site-specific videos to document driving patterns and assess adequacy, using an investigative approach to identify potential data gaps, anomalies, or clarification needs.
    • Pre-process and create custom data sets to serve as inputs to orthorectification and image stitching software, collaborating with team members to confirm source data requirements and processing assumptions.
    • Configure optimal settings for orthomosaic generation, monitor results across multiple job sites, and coordinate with team members to produce high-quality orthomosaics with sufficient coverage.
    • Post-process orthomosaics using clipping, alignment, and transformation techniques as needed, applying problem-solving to address site-specific data challenges.
    • Display and assess the quality of final orthomosaics on the Pave-AI client portal, working with internal stakeholders to verify outputs meet project expectations.
    • Tile and assign orthomosaics for downstream flaw detection processes, coordinating with teammates to support smooth handoffs and consistent production outcomes.
    • Aggregate flaw detection results and upload them to the client portal, working collaboratively to resolve inconsistencies and support accurate deliverables.
    • Use Pave-AI's custom PCI algorithms to calculate and display site- and segment-specific results, maintaining curiosity about outputs that may require review, validation, or refinement.
    • Support the creation of custom process capabilities as directed by Pave-AI's management team, contributing ideas and collaborating on improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and scalability.
    • Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects; participate in pre-task planning; and collaborate with team members to raise safety issues, concerns, or improvement opportunities with management.
    • Maintain quality standards on all projects through careful review, curiosity-driven problem-solving, and collaboration with project teams.
    • Perform other duties as assigned, bringing curiosity, collaboration, and adaptability to evolving project needs.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Familiarity/comfort with basic computing software and all aspects of running commercial software including managing large data sets, file transfer, image viewing, software tasking, etc.
    • Experience with Windows and Linux operating environments.
    • Must be comfortable working in a remote capacity, including communicating effectively, staying organized, and maintaining accountability while working with distributed teams.
    • Ability to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends) to allow for remote access/monitoring of processing tasks.
    • Experience with ArcGIS Pro or other GIS software preferred.
    • Self-driven, motivated individual with good time management skills and ability to deliver results to client deadlines.
    • A valid driver's license with acceptable violation history may be required.
