Job Description
A healthcare services organization is seeking a Payment Poster for a remote role supporting revenue cycle operations.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm (MST hours)
- Setting: Remote
Responsibilities:
- Post and reconcile payer and patient payments, including manual and electronic transactions
- Interpret ERA and EOB information and apply related adjustments accurately
- Balance deposits and batches while maintaining accurate payment logs and records
- Research and resolve credit balances, unapplied payments, recoupments, and payment discrepancies
- Coordinate with billing and patient account teams to support payment workflow and related issue resolution
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on Healthcare Payment posting and reconciliation experience
- Experience with ERA/EOB processing and payment adjustment workflows
- Experience with NextGen
- Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
- Experience with CMS-1500 and UB-04 claim forms
- Experience in outpatient or integrated behavioral health revenue cycle operations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a production-based environment
Desired Skills:
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience with Deposit Assist or Post Assist
- Experience with Waystar
- Experience with secondary payer pay
