Payor Relations & Collections Specialist

SNELLING is seeking a detail-oriented Payor Relations & Collections Specialist for a growing healthcare organization in the Tyler area. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in provider credentialing, insurance payor relations, self-pay account management, and patient collections while working with a collaborative healthcare team. Pay rate is $20-$22/hr. The schedule is Monday- Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate provider credentialing, recredentialing, and insurance enrollment activities
• Prepare, submit, and track credentialing applications and supporting documentation
• Communicate with insurance payors regarding pending, delayed, or incomplete applications
• Manage self-pay billing and collections processes
• Review patient accounts, balances, and payment activity
• Generate and distribute patient statements and billing communications
• Follow up on outstanding balances and assist with payment resolution
• Respond to patient billing inquiries and help resolve account discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely follow-up on assigned accounts

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in medical billing, collections, credentialing, healthcare administration, revenue cycle management, or a related healthcare support role
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software applications
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with provider credentialing and insurance enrollment
• Knowledge of medical billing and collections processes
• Familiarity with insurance payors and healthcare reimbursement procedures
• Experience communicating with patients regarding account balances and payment arrangements
