Payroll Administrator

Kforce has a client in Juneau, AK that is seeking a Payroll Administrator.

Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
• Review timekeeping records and labor distributions for accuracy and compliance
• Maintain employee payroll records, deductions, garnishments, benefits, and tax withholdings
• Reconcile payroll data and prepare payroll-related journal entries
• Support payroll tax filings and resolve tax notices from federal, state, and local agencies
• Ensure compliance with applicable payroll laws, DCAA regulations, FAR requirements, and company policies
• Process employee status changes including new hires, terminations, pay changes, and transfers
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and payroll adjustments
• Assist with year-end activities including W-2 processing and payroll audits
• Maintain payroll documentation and support internal, external, and government audits
• Partner with HR, Finance, Contracts, and Project Accounting to ensure accurate labor charging and reporting
• Generate payroll reports and assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Recommend process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency
