Payroll Administrator

Kforce is partnering with a client in the Saint Louis, MO area to find a Payroll Administrator to join their team in Saint Louis, MO.

Summary: This role is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of multi-entity payroll and related payroll activities in compliance with applicable labor laws, union agreements, tax regulations, and internal company policies. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex payroll functions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Process weekly multi-state payroll for union and non-union employees with accuracy and timeliness
• Ensure payroll activities comply with labor laws, tax regulations, union agreements, and company policies
• Review timekeeping, earnings, deductions, overtime, and special pay calculations for accuracy
• Support payroll tax filings, garnishments, and required remittances to third-party agencies
• Prepare payroll reports for leadership, audits, and financial planning purposes
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data within payroll systems
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and related reporting
• Respond to payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely, professional manner
• Support internal and external payroll audits by providing documentation and resolving issues
• Handle certified payroll and other specialized reporting requirements as needed
