Hire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager for a dynamic organization. This role is responsible for overseeing payroll processing, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle payroll, ensuring accuracy in wages, overtime, and deductions
- Reconcile payroll and benefits with accounting systems and maintain compliance (taxes, W-2s, ACA, etc.)
- Oversee HRIS/payroll systems, including data integrity and process improvements
- Administer employee benefits and lead open enrollment
- Manage leave programs (FMLA, ADA) and workers compensation
- Support audits and ensure compliance with all employment regulations
- Serve as a point of contact for payroll and benefits inquiries and partner with internal teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of payroll and benefits experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and HRIS systems
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
- High attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or related certification
- Experience in education, nonprofit, or similarly structured organizations
- Familiarity with retirement plan administration and compliance
- Multi-lingual abilities are a plus
