Hire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager for a dynamic organization. This role is responsible for overseeing payroll processing, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage full-cycle payroll, ensuring accuracy in wages, overtime, and deductions
  • Reconcile payroll and benefits with accounting systems and maintain compliance (taxes, W-2s, ACA, etc.)
  • Oversee HRIS/payroll systems, including data integrity and process improvements
  • Administer employee benefits and lead open enrollment
  • Manage leave programs (FMLA, ADA) and workers’ compensation
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with all employment regulations
  • Serve as a point of contact for payroll and benefits inquiries and partner with internal teams
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of payroll and benefits experience
  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and HRIS systems
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
  • High attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or related certification
  • Experience in education, nonprofit, or similarly structured organizations
  • Familiarity with retirement plan administration and compliance
  • Multi-lingual abilities are a plus
