Job Description

The Payroll Coordinator will manage payroll processes and ensure accurate and timely compensation for employees. This role is a key part of the Human Resources team and requires strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Description

  • Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain payroll records and resolve any discrepancies efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to address employee payroll inquiries and concerns.
  • Calculate and process deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings accurately.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports as required.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Support audits by providing necessary payroll data and documentation.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the payroll function.

Profile

A successful Payroll Coordinator should have:

  • Bachelors degree (required).
  • Minimum of 3 years payroll experience (required).
  • Experience with payroll processing systems (Workday preferred).
  • Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with employees and team members.
  • Ability to work 3-days onsite in Washington, DC.
