    Description

    Payroll Manager

    High growth Financial Services firm based out of Boston is seeking a Payroll Manager to add to the team. This role will mange both domestic and international payroll, as well as involvement in processing of variable compensation / profit sharing plan.

    Suitable applicants will have interest in working directly with leadership, as this position sits under the CFO vertical, reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations. This is a great role for somebody interested in a high-visibility role, with full scope of management over the payroll function.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including domestic multi-state, and international payroll
    • Input international employee payroll data to in-house payroll system for employees requiring W-2 reporting
    • Resolve issues that may arise during payroll processing with urgency connecting the dots to implement enhancements to prevent similar issues from arising in the future
    • Develop, document, and maintain policies and procedures that support accurate and timely multi-state payroll processing
    • Perform reconciliations for payroll general ledger accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
    • Maintain daily interaction with Human Resources in relation to 401k plan & benefits administration
    • Calculate vacation and personal time, verify employment and maintain confidentiality
    • Assist in year-end W-2 preparation, fringe benefit processing
    • Research and respond to tax notices from Federal, State and Local agencies
    • Prepare payroll journal entries and review balance sheet reconciliations

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree
    • 5+ years of payroll experience
    • CPP is a plus but not required
    • Analytical, logical, methodical and intellectually curious.
    • Problem solving and issues resolution management
    • Excellent system and Excel spreadsheet capabilities
    • Interest in growth & professional development
