Meador, an Openwork Company, is currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented contract-to-hire
Payroll Specialist to ensure timely and accurate employee payment and to complete the necessary accounting functions resulting from these payments. This role is located at our
Deer Park facility.
As the
Payroll Specialist, you will:
- Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time for controlled entities, and multi-state locations.
- Prepare and distribute wages and salaries to all company employees.
- Calculate and manage complex expatriate packages, ensuring employees are paid according to individual agreements and all applicable international and domestic regulations.
- Perform quarterly and annual reviews of tax deposits and regulatory filings to ensure compliance.
- Processing multi-state, multi-country year-end tax documentation.
- Coordinate payroll scheduling and deadlines with terminal offices and management
- Execute standard journal entries, including calculating payroll accruals monthly.
- Produce the earnings report each month
- Perform routine and complex payroll reconciliations.
- Provide comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal and external use, including benefit reporting, headcount, and HR statistical reporting.
- Design and build custom payroll and HR reports as required by management.
- Serve as the primary internal contact and administrator for the payroll systems.
What you’ll need:- 5+ years of payroll processing experience
- Bachelors degree required.
- MUST have WORKDAY and ADP experience
- Experience in union and expat package processing,
Compensation and Perks:- $30-35/hr
- Fully in-office
