Job Details
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own full cycle, in-house payroll from start to finish, including hours, overtime, deductions, adjustments, and tax withholdings
- Process manual and electronic timecards
- Cut manual checks and process garnishments
- Manage payroll tax compliance, including FICA and Forms 940 and 941
- Perform payroll reconciliations, research discrepancies, and resolve issues independently
- Support job costing and cost code allocation
- Partner closely with the Controller on payroll reporting
- Identify ways to improve payroll accuracy and efficiency
What You Bring
- 3+ years of hands-on, in-house payroll processing experience, ideally in construction
- Experience cutting manual checks and processing manual and electronic timecards
- Strong understanding of FICA and payroll tax compliance (940/941)
- Job costing or cost code experience is a plus
- Foundation software experience is a plus
- Able to commute to the Torrance/Gardena area and work onsite 5 days a week
