Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a top healthcare client in Hermitage, TN.
This position plays a key leadership role within a 34-bed PCU/Telemetry unit, overseeing patient care for individuals with cardiac, neurological, and pulmonary conditions. The CNC ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while coordinating team functions, supporting nursing staff, and fostering clinical excellence during the night shift.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate nursing care for PCU patients, including those with cardiac, neuro, and pulmonary diagnoses.
Oversee admission, discharge, and patient flow processes to ensure efficient throughput.
Administer and manage IV drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Lasix, and Protonix.
Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, offering coaching, feedback, and performance guidance.
Partner with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care, engagement, and satisfaction.
Support compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and clinical protocols.
Assist with staff scheduling and ensure proper nurse-to-patient ratios are maintained.
Collaborate with management to drive departmental quality, performance, and engagement initiatives.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
Experience
Prior Charge Nurse experience required
Previous PCU, Telemetry, or step-down nursing experience preferred
Certifications/Licenses
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire
NIHSS Stroke Certification within 30 days of hire
