Are you a dedicated RN passionate about providing exceptional patient care across multiple units? We are seeking a skilled and adaptable PCU Float Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. This vital role offers the opportunity to work night shifts on our 12-hour, three nights per week schedule, providing flexibility and a rewarding work environment. What You'll Bring:
  • Valid RN license with current state licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a progressive care or step-down unit
  • Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, and Epic electronic health records
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required
  • Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills
  • Ability to float within units of similar or lower acuity as needed
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Nice to Have:
  • Experience working in a float pool or with multiple units/campuses
  • Additional certifications such as NIHSS, TNCC, or PALS
  • Previous experience at a large medical center or academic health system

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Current RN license in good standing
  • At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a similar setting
  • Demonstrated adaptability and comfort with float assignments and multi-unit environments

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work night shift (19:00 - 07:30) on a 12-hour schedule
  • Flexibility to float across campuses including Ross Heart, Brain & Spine, Dodd, and others as needed
  • Willingness to handle patient ratios typically ranging from 1:3 to 1:4
  • Compliance with hospital and state regulations, including required certifications and reimbursements for travel/parking when applicable
