PCU Registered Nurse - Contract

Job Title: PCU Registered Nurse (Progressive Care Unit RN)
Location: Eureka, CA 95501
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights – 3×12-hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM; please confirm shift end time)

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience

• Required Experience: PCU/Stepdown or ICU experience

• Charting System: Epic experience required — HARD STOP

• Travel Experience: Not required

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Required Qualifications

• Recent Stepdown/PCU or ICU experience

• Epic charting experience

• Ability to manage cardiac telemetry patients and interpret dysrhythmias

• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring

Preferred Skills

• BiPAP/CPAP and non-invasive airway management

• Oxygen administration

• Blood product administration

• Central line and PICC line management

• IV initiation and maintenance

• Feeding tube care and management

• Heparin protocols

• Management of cardiac drips (no titration)

• Cardiac telemetry and emergency response

• Isolation precautions and PPE

• Post-cardiac angiogram care

• Pre/post-cardiac catheterization care

• Pre/post-cardiac surgery care
