About the Role:
Casa Smiles is looking for a passionate and energetic Part-Time Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our fun, kid-friendly team in Hialeah, FL! Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist chairside during pediatric dental procedures including cleanings, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patients
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed
- Build rapport with young patients to create a calm, positive, and comfortable dental experience
- Document patient records and update charts accurately in dental practice management software
- Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant clinical environment
Requirements:
- Prior dental assisting experience required; pediatric dental experience strongly preferred
- Dental Assistant certification or relevant training preferred
- Radiography (X-ray) certification preferred or ability to obtain
- CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred for our Hialeah community
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with children of all ages
- Reliable, punctual, and able to thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting
