What You’ll Do & Bring

As a Pediatric Registered Dental Assistant, you will assist the pediatric dentist in providing high-quality dental care while ensuring a safe, welcoming, and efficient clinical environment for children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the pediatric dentist chair-side during procedures and prepare operatories for treatment
  • Take and process dental x-rays in accordance with safety standards
  • Maintain and sterilize dental instruments and equipment, ensuring compliance with infection control policies
  • Manage operatory supplies and support inventory tracking and ordering
  • Support both clinical and administrative functions as needed
  • Assist patients and parents by answering questions and providing guidance under provider direction
  • Help children feel comfortable and at ease during visits through effective communication and rapport-building
  • Monitor patient flow and ensure accurate and timely completion of patient records and documentation
  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls related to patient care and clinic operations
  • Ensure proper disposal of hazardous and contaminated materials in compliance with regulations
  • Follow all safety protocols, including PPE use and exposure control procedures
  • Contribute to a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and high-quality patient care

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
  • Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license with at least two years of pediatric experience
  • Nitrous oxide certification
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Current radiology certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Professionalism, empathy, and the ability to manage sensitive situations
  • Willingness to travel between clinic locations and work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in Spanish
