Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Apple Valley, CA

Qualifications and Skills:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
• Valid SLP license applicable for California
• Proven experience in pediatric speech therapy settings
• Background working in schools or similar educational environments
• Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
• Deliver direct therapy sessions to meet students' IEP goals
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure integrated care and support within the classroom
• Document assessments, progress, and recommendations in compliance with district and regulatory guidelines
• Attend and participate in IEP meetings, providing insight and advocacy for students' communication needs
• Maintain consistent communication with parents regarding student progress and recommended strategies
