Peer Writing Tutor Position Overview: Peer Writing Tutors provide tutoring to individual students and groups of students in person and virtually. Peer Writing Tutors assist students in improving academic performance through writing skills development in mechanics of writing, grammar, citations, and more. Peer Writing Tutors model techniques, strategies, attitudes, and beliefs contributing to student success. Note: We typically hire tutors twice a year at the beginning of each semester, and prospective tutors should get one instructor or faculty recommendation (send instructors this form). Time Commitment Tutors are required to leave a minimum of 6 hours of availability open in their schedule per week for students to schedule tutoring sessions. At least 4 of the hours of a tutor’s availability must occur during the times listed below.
