As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will play a pivotal role in driving our success and ensuring the highest level of service for our client organizations.
Job Summary: The BDM is responsible for prospecting and solidifying new business relationships with prospective clients, their current business and partner relationships, Industry Associations, and various networking events to identify additional revenue opportunities and generate referrals. The BDM will work in a business environment that is fast-paced, quota-driven, competitive environment. The successful candidate will possess a strong drive to achieve goals, the ability to manage their own activities both in the field and on the phone and being able to constantly seek new sales opportunities and closing deals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new business opportunities, leveraging the company’s expertise, industry profile and knowledge of the industry.
- Schedule meetings to present an overview of CPS services to prospective clients.
- Confidently and effectively deliver the CPS and PEO value proposition to build perceived value with prospects
- Request, organize and obtain documentation required for proposal generation and client onboarding.
- Demonstrate CPS Software platform and other CPS solutions to decision makers.
- Prepare and present proposals and provide appropriate follow-up through the sales process.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth transition for new clients.
- Build and manage a healthy sale pipeline through a mix of tele-prospecting, email marketing campaigns, networking events and affiliated industry associations.
- Keep an accurate and updated business record using our CRM.
- Meet with the manager and sales team to review activity, performance, company communication, ongoing education and training, and recognition of accomplishments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred, ideally in business, education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of business to business outside sales experience selling in the PEO or related HR Services Industry.
- Ability to conduct evaluations of client HR and payroll processes.
- Must be comfortable cold calling potential prospects and be willing to drive to different locations to set up appointments.
- Knowledge of Workers Compensation, Health and Welfare Benefits or Human Resources experience is helpful
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint) NetSuite, Ever Lance, CRM, and other software technology.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills required for objection handling, negotiation, pricing and other situations that arise in the sales process.
- A strong local network of referral partners, prospects and clients puts you towards the top of the candidate pool.
Physical Requirements:
- Mobility is required for sitting, standing, and walking.
- Mobility required for driving to prospective client locations and other sales-related meetings around Phoenix.

- Full-time position based in Phoenix, with travel to client locations as needed.
