About the OpportunityA respected community-based healthcare organization in northeastern Nevada is seeking a People Services Director. This senior leadership role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and serves as a strategic advisor to the executive team.This is an opportunity to lead the Human Resources function for a well-established acute care hospital, guiding workforce strategy, employee engagement, labor relations, and organizational development initiatives. The Director will oversee one HR team member and support a workforce of over 200 employees.Key Responsibilities
Lead all HR operations including employee relations, workforce planning, recruitment, retention, performance management, and compliance.
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on workforce strategy and organizational effectiveness.
Develop and execute retention initiatives to improve engagement and reduce turnover.
Oversee union relationships and lead labor negotiations while fostering collaborative partnerships.
Monitor and analyze workforce metrics to identify trends and implement proactive solutions.
Manage HR departmental budgeting and ensure fiscal responsibility.
Coordinate internal and external HR audits.
Promote a culture of professional development, accountability, and employee well-being.
Travel up to 20% as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 7 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience
