Job Description

Position Summary:
  • An enterprise consulting organization is seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Developer and Advanced Software Engineer to support the end-to-end management of development products from strategy to delivery.
  • The role focuses on developing and maintaining secure, innovative operational information systems while leading requirements management, software engineering, and comprehensive system testing.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead requirements management, software engineering, system testing, and acceptance testing activities across all stages and iterations for complex software development and integration initiatives.
  • Design, specify, and execute test cases, scenarios, and validation methods including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, acceptance testing, and regression testing.
  • Develop and maintain PeopleSoft applications utilizing PeopleCode, Application Designer, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, Query Manager, and Process Scheduler.
  • Support core business operations across Procure-to-Pay, Strategic Sourcing, Inventory, and overall Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) business processes.
  • Act as a technical liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams to ensure design specifications are seamlessly implemented.
  • Draft and maintain software support processes, prioritize and diagnose incidents, investigate complex issues, and lead root-cause analysis.
  • Conduct application licensing, security, backup, and disaster recovery verification initiatives, ensuring adherence to configuration standards.
  • Manage operational relationships with suppliers, contribute technical elements to RFPs and RFIs, and negotiate contract terms and service level agreements.
  • Define and execute large projects within business objectives, enterprise architectures, and resource constraints while mentoring less experienced staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Arts or Sciences (BA or BS), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 8 years of relevant software engineering and PeopleSoft ERP development experience in a business setting.
  • Hands-on expertise with PeopleTools, including Application Designer, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, Query Manager, and Process Scheduler.
  • Strong domain knowledge in Procure-to-Pay, Strategic Sourcing, Inventory, and FSCM business processes.
  • Proficiency in at least one software engineering methodology, such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, DevOps, or Kanban, along with familiarity with version control.
  • Experience applying structured validation and testing methods across the software development lifecycle.
  • Requires at least one relevant professional certification, such as Certified Scrum Developer (CSD), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), AWS Certified Developer, or Microsoft Certified Azure Developer.
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in English.
