Second Shift (Afternoons)

Environmental Conditions

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Fluctuating Temps hot/cold, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.)

Discover Impactful Work:

Manufacturing Technicians play a critical role in the production process by operating, monitoring, and maintaining various equipment. This role directly supports production targets while maintaining strict adherence to safety and cGMP standards.

A day in the Life:

  • Prepare raw materials for use in digest kettles.
  • Set-up and operate digest kettles, steam kettles.
  • Operate automated packaging equipment and filtration equipment.
  • Set-up and load material into vacuum dryers.
  • Actively participate in identifying safety hazards and supporting site safety initiatives.
  • Ability to use, calibrate, and maintain basic laboratory equipment (pH meter, NTU meter, etc.)
  • Perform routine cleaning, sanitization, and basic equipment checks while documenting all activities accurately.
  • Operate pallet jacks to move raw materials/finished products.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), GDP, batch records, and safety guidelines.
  • Inspect finished products for defects or deviations from specifications.
  • Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow and timely completion of processes.
  • Support training and development on board with new or existing operators.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • No experience is required
  • Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices experience preferred.
  • Batch Record review experience preferred.
  • Pallet jack or Hilo experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to follow written instructions, SOPs, and batch records with strong attention to detail
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong teamwork, communication skills, and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Perform basic math, verbal, written, and oral communication with team.
  • Ability to work overtime and flexible shift patterns.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials up to 25 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to nuisance smells, noise, dust, temperature variations, and cleaning agents.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
