Job Description:
Tasks and responsibilities include:
Rooming patients timely and efficiently, taking vitals, reviewing medical and prescription drug history and accurately recording information into the EMR
Drawing patients blood in accordance to practice procedure and delivering to the in house lab
Facilitates the authorization of drug refills and provides prescription information to pharmacies.
Assists with scheduling patients for future appointments.
Assist and care for patients in alignment with practice values and mission, practicing empathy and compassion at all times
Performs regular administrative responsibilities such as scanning and medical record updating
Other duties as assigned.
Ideal candidates have:
At least two years as a Medical Assistant with phlebotomy experience
Oncology experience preferred
A warm and empathetic personality that is focused on exceptional patient care
Ability to move quickly throughout shift and stand for long periods of time
