Registered Nurse Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Perm Position
Location: Coos Bay, Oregon (Relocation Assistance Available)
Hourly Rate: $45.00 $71.00 (Union Position, Rate based on experience, non-negotiable)
Schedule: Full-Time, various shifts based on unit needs
Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality nursing care within the scope defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. You will also educate patients and their families, ensure accurate documentation, and respond effectively to urgent situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to IMCU patients, utilizing critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate seamless patient care.
- Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies and patient crises.
- Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon.
- BLS certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS are preferred.
- Proven technical proficiency, including electronic medical records and computer skills.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability to a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to teach and support patients and families.
- Ability to work flexible hours and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Demonstrated punctuality and reliable attendance.

Positions are available in Coos Bay, with nearby locations such as Reedsport, Bandon, Coquille, Myrtle Point, and North Bend, all within a short commute and scenic surroundings.
Note: Candidate must possess BLS certification; other certifications as required. Experience in IMCU or similar critical care units is preferred but not mandatory.
