Permit Specialist (Remote)

Position Title: Permit Specialist
Pay: $22-30/hr
Location: Remote
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Permit Specialist to manage telecom and utility permit applications with local jurisdictions, utilities, railroads, and other agencies. This role will oversee permit submissions from application through approval, maintain permitting records, and provide guidance to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit AHJ permit applications for telecom and utility projects
• Research jurisdictional requirements, municipal codes, and permitting processes
• Track permits through approval, expiration, and renewal
• Maintain accurate permit data, forecasts, and project records
• Serve as a primary point of contact with permitting authorities and clients
• Submit and track power, aerial, joint-use, and make-ready applications
• Compile and deliver complete permit packages and project documentation
• Assist with training and mentoring junior permit specialists
• Support multiple markets and project teams as needed

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of telecom or utility permitting experience
• Experience completing AHJ permit applications
• Strong permit tracking, documentation, and communication skills
• Experience mentoring or training team members
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Aerial permitting experience
