Personal Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team in Belleville, MI. This role involves providing personalized care and support to clients, helping them with daily activities to maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help with mobility and transferring clients safely.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client’s condition to supervisory staff.
• Follow care plans and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in personal care or home health assistance is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient.
• Must pass background checks and any required certifications.
