Personal Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team in Hartland, MI. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients, helping them with daily living activities to enhance their quality of life and maintain their independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help with mobility and transferring clients safely.
• Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Administer medication reminders according to care plan instructions.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Report any changes in clients’ health or behavior to supervisors promptly.
• Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure client safety and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Previous experience in personal care or home health care is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients and team members.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, patient demeanor.
• Reliable transportation to reach the job location in Hartland, MI.
• Ability to pass background checks and any required screenings.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
