Frances personal chefs prepare weekly meals in client homes across the Bay Area. The menu and groceries are provided, so you just show up, cook, and clean up after.
How does it work?
- Visit a client's home 1-2 times per week (usually 2-3 hours).
- Families book by the hour; recipes are sized to fit the time.
How do I get paid?
- You set your own rate. Most customers look for chefs around $30-$40/hr.
- Flexible part-time schedule. Great as supplemental income vs restaurant shifts.
What experience do I need?
- Confident cooking skills (restaurant experience is a plus, not required)
- Reliable, friendly, and comfortable in someone else's kitchen
- Reliable transportation
- Up-to-date vaccinations (COVID, Flu, tDAP)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain one)
