Job DescriptionCannata, Hendele & Cannata, LLP is a boutique midtown Manhattan plaintiff personal injury law firm and is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3 to 7 years of experience to join our expanding team. We represent individuals in all areas of personal injury litigation and are committed to achieving the best results for our clients. This is an in office position.Position OverviewThe Associate Attorney will handle personal injury cases from intake through trial. This role requires an associate attorney who can effectively communicate with clients, conduct investigations and legal research, draft pleadings, conduct depositions, attend court appearances, draft motions, and negotiate settlements.ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of personal injury matters, including labor law, premises liability, products liability, and other negligence claims.Conduct client consultations and maintain ongoing communications.Draft and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.Engage in settlement negotiations with insurance companies and defense counsel.Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as needed.Maintain case files and track deadlines to ensure compliance with all legal procedures.RequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active bar license in New York and in good standing.3-7 years of personal injury law experienceExcellent research and writing skillsProven work ethicCompassionate and client-focused approach to legal advocacyBenefits$130,000 to $170,000 base salary a year commensurate with experienceGenerous performance-based bonus structure based upon the cases brought into the office and cases resolvedHealth, dental, and vision insurance.401KPaid time off (PTO) and holidays.Company DescriptionWe are a small plaintiff's personal injury law firm.
