Job Details
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake and initial evaluation through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to assess liability, damages, insurance coverage, and potential case outcomes.
- Develop case strategies, prepare pleadings and motions, and manage discovery, including written discovery, depositions, and document review.
- Represent clients in negotiations with insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other parties to pursue favorable settlements.
- Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial, including witness preparation, exhibit development, and trial strategy.
- Conduct depositions, attend hearings, and represent clients in court proceedings as needed.
- Evaluate settlement offers and provide clients with practical, well-informed recommendations.
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona.
- Preferred experience handling personal injury cases, ideally on the plaintiff side.
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation, discovery, settlement negotiations, and personal injury law.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to evaluate liability, damages, and case value.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize competing deadlines, and work independently.
