Job Details

We are seeking a Personal Injury Attorney to join our litigation team in a fully remote capacity, handling a mix of single event personal injury and medical malpractice cases from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of single event personal injury and medical malpractice matters from intake through settlement or trial
Evaluate case merits, liability, causation, and damages to develop effective case strategy
Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents
Take and defend depositions of parties, treating physicians, and expert witnesses
Review and analyze medical records, billing, and expert reports to build strong damages models
Identify, retain, and work closely with medical and liability experts
Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel
Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial, and participate in trial as needed
Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing case updates and managing expectations
Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and fellow attorneys in a remote team environment

Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active bar license in good standing
2-12 years of litigation experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, or a related practice area
Strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to analyze complex medical records
Experience taking and defending depositions, including expert depositions
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of favorable case outcomes
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a caseload independently in a remote setting
Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office
