Responsibilities
Lead one-on-one and small group training sessions tailored to each client's goals and abilities
Design personalized fitness plans and adjust them as clients progress
Build strong, trusting relationships with members that keeps them coming back
Ensure a safe workout environment by following YMCA and certification guidelines
Maintain accurate session records and client progress notes
Collaborate with fellow associates to create a welcoming, supportive wellness area
Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or incidents to the appropriate supervisor promptly
Qualifications
Current nationally accredited personal training certification, including but not limited to:
American Council on Exercise (ACE)
National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire - we cover the cost)
18 years of age or older
A genuine passion for helping people of all fitness levels reach their goals
Strong communication skills and a warm, encouraging coaching style
Reliable, professional, and a true team player
