The pay range is $95,000.00 - $171,000.00

A role in

Food Safety, Quality, & Regulatory (FSQR) means supporting programs and processes that help Target succeed by consistently delivering safe, high quality, and compliant food and beverages. As the Pest Program Lead, you will lead the day-to-day operation of Target's enterprise pest management program across stores and Supply Chain locations. You will serve as a subject matter expert in pest management and Integrated Pest Management (IPM), translate enterprise strategy and risk decisions into clear standards and operating routines, and coordinate regional field support, vendors, contractors, and business partners to drive timely issue resolution and sustainable risk reduction. You will maintain visibility to program performance and spend, lead vendor and contractor accountability, and use data and insights to continuously improve the program while supporting Target's Food & Beverage strategy and delivering for Target guests.

• Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for pest management and IPM, proactively managing internal and external pest risks while enabling business strategies and delivering guest needs.
• Maintain working knowledge of pest management, food safety and quality principles and applicable federal, state and local regulatory requirements; translate requirements into effective preventive, detective and corrective controls.
• Lead the day-to-day operation of the enterprise pest management program across stores and Supply Chain locations, translating program strategy, governance and risk decisions into consistent execution.
• Design, maintain and continuously improve risk-based standards for monitoring, classification, escalation, response, service frequency, remediation, verification, de-escalation and closure of pest conditions.
• Lead vendor performance management and ensure compliance with Target requirements, scopes of work, service levels, reporting expectations, staffing commitments and corrective action plans; hold vendors accountable for measurable outcomes.
• Manage contractors and program support resources responsible for invoicing, reporting, dashboards and program data, ensuring accurate information, clear controls and timely follow-through.
• Lead the regional pest operating model by providing direction and support for regional oversight, on-site issue response, vendor performance, root-cause assessment, escalation, remediation and closure validation.
• Maintain visibility to total program spend and budget ownership across service lines; analyze trends and expense opportunities and support sourcing, contract, negotiation and vendor portfolio decisions.
• Establish and maintain a single source of truth for program health and performance, including open conditions, repeat activity, aging, vendor performance, spend, corrective actions, closures and outcomes; develop KPIs, dashboards and vendor scorecards to drive decisions.
• Lead the program accountability cadence, including weekly program health and vendor reviews, biweekly field reviews, monthly executive reviews and quarterly business reviews; elevate risks, barriers and decisions requiring leadership action.
• Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and coordinate shared accountability across Store Operations, Supply Chain, field leadership, facilities partners, Risk & Compliance, Guest Relations, Media, Sourcing and service providers.
• Lead response to escalated pest events and regulatory, safety or reputation pressure by coordinating risk assessment, corrective actions, communications and follow-up through verified resolution.
• Drive continuous improvement and simplification of the pest program by evaluating performance trends, stakeholder feedback, audit findings, vendor capabilities and new service models; lead pilots and implementation of approved changes.
• Lead cross-functional projects to design, develop and implement pest management programs, policies, standards and requirements; pursue continuing education, represent Target with relevant trade and professional organizations, and model Target's values and FSQR compliance expectations.
• Other responsibilities to support the FSQR team, as assigned.

About you:

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in pest management, food safety and quality, regulatory compliance, retail or Supply Chain operations, or related program leadership; direct pest program experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Food Safety, Food Science, Entomology, Biology, Environmental Health, Quality Management, Business, Operations or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Integrated Pest Management principles and practices, including pest-conducive structural, sanitation and behavioral conditions, root-cause analysis and sustainable remediation.
• HACCP, PCQI or relevant pest/food safety certification preferred, or ability to achieve applicable certification within 6 months of hire; food safety, quality or pest program auditing experience preferred.
• Experience working with contract vendors to achieve food safety, quality and regulatory compliance, including vendor performance management, service-level expectations, corrective action and escalation.
• Experience supporting scopes of work, contract requirements, sourcing and negotiation, vendor portfolio decisions, and program spend or budget analysis.
• Understanding of compliance management systems and ability to structure programs around documented requirements, key controls, testing, monitoring and effective performance management.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to leverage data to influence decisions, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and distill complex issues into actionable root-cause remediation plans.
• Effective project and program management, strategic planning and organizational skills, with the ability to document end-to-end processes, develop roadmaps and deliver multiple priorities against timelines with minimal direction.
• Ability to apply change principles and lead through ambiguity while influencing adoption of new standards, processes, vendor models and operating routines.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills across internal and external partners at varying levels, with the ability to lead or influence high-performing teams and resolve conflict constructively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, executive-level judgment and self-motivation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target''s needs.  A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that''s not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.  A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member''s core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
