Job Summary and Qualifications Technologists are responsible to perform Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT examinations, with protocols as outlined by the Radiologist and Cardiologist . Scope of practice in nuclear medicine and PET/CT technology includes, but not limited to, the following areas and responsibilities: operation of nuclear medicine and CT instrumentation; performance of diagnostic procedures, patient care, quality control, handling of radiopharmaceuticals, usage of adjunctive medications, in vit r o diagnostic testing, radionuclide therapy, and radiation safety . Other duties include, but are not limited to, clerical, scheduling, transporting, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning, and anything deemed necessary by the medical imaging management team . Job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor . Employee must have the same licensure or have completed the same training to satisfy the requirements of the discipline of the student . Direct supervision means the primary caregiver is readily available to the student throughout the shift . Technologist is responsible for assisting in the primary mission of the medical imaging department by ensuring that proper diagnostic information is provided through the production of high-quality PET/CT scans as well as individual PE T procedures and diagnostic CT p rocedures . Requirements : State License Nuclear Medicine required Certified Nuc Med NMTCB required Registered CT required within 1 year of hire BLS Required Graduate of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Program.
