Position Summary JRP is seeking a motivated **Outside Sales Representative** to develop new business opportunities and grow an established customer portfolio throughout the Roanoke market. This business-to-business (B2B) sales role is focused on prospecting, lead generation, relationship building, and closing new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. Compensation Range $45,000-$60,000 based on qualifications plus commission (unlimited earning potential) Key Responsibilities - Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, prospecting, networking, and lead generation.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting and qualifying leads to closing new business.
- Develop and grow an assigned customer portfolio while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
- Schedule customer appointments, conduct sales presentations, and follow up on opportunities.
- Maintain accurate customer information, sales activity, and pipeline updates within the CRM.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Directors by providing sales activity reports and progress updates.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Represent JRP professionally while identifying customer needs and providing customized fuel solutions.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory (approximately 25%) to support customer development and sales initiatives.
Qualifications - Minimum of 2 years of business development, outside sales, or related experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Proven ability to generate new business and build long-term customer relationships.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven, hunter-style sales mentality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Work Environment - Remote position based in the Roanoke, Virginia area.
