Job Title: PFW - Administrative Grades Clerk

Job Description:

Join Purdue University Fort Wayne:

We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site Administrative Grades Clerk in the Registrar's Office. This position is responsible for all grade processing and effectively communicating with faculty and staff about grades. The pay for this position is $15.00/hr.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls and assist callers efficiently and courteously.
  • Assist visitors at the Welcome Desk; provides exceptional customer service and resolves issues for both internal and external customers.
  • Processes final grades, special edits, incomplete/late grades, grade changes, and academic renewals in the PFW and PWL systems.
  • Sends inquiries to faculty/deans/chairs on missing grades each term.
  • Processes Enrollment and Degree Verification Requests made through National Student Clearinghouse as well as student requests and 3rd party verifiers.
  • Manages the National Student Clearinghouse Transcript Request System.
  • Assist other areas of the office with graduation, registration changes, end of term processing.
  • Assist the Registrar by taking meeting minutes for staff meetings.
  • Assist Associate Registrar of Academic History with Commencement Program.
  • Participate in professional development training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma/GED.
  • 2 years of experience providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers at an executive level.
  • Strong computer and technology skills; Excel proficient.
  • Superb organizational skills and ability to manage office.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to tactfully resolve problems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects.
  • Use/learn student database, word, spreadsheet and other office software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree.
  • Experience working in a university setting and with campus information system (Banner).
