A Pharmacist position is available at a specialized mail order and renal pharmacy serving a high-volume prescription environment. This role offers a 13-week contract with the possibility to transition to permanent employment. The position is based in a pharmacy utilizing Wellsky order entry systems without automation, providing a hands-on verification experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform final verification processes (Pharmacist Verification 1 and 2) to ensure accuracy in medication dispensation.
- Confirm that the medication in bottles or boxes matches prescribed orders.
- Verify prescription details and directions against hard copy documentation.
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy protocols and quality assurance standards.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to support efficient workflow in a high-prescription volume setting (approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily).
- Adhere to the afternoon shift schedule from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, with no on-call duties required.
Qualifications:- Licensed Pharmacist in good standing.
- Experience in pharmacy verification functions, preferably in mail order or renal specialty pharmacy settings.
- Familiarity with Wellsky pharmacy order entry system is advantageous.
- Ability to handle high-volume prescription verification with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working within an automated offer system (auto-offer).
Location:- Based in Murfreesboro, TN, with work at a pharmacy located in LaVergne, TN.
- Position offers a contract with 40 hours per week on an afternoon shift.
This contract role begins as soon as possible. Candidates should be ready to accept assignments through an auto-offer system, ensuring prompt placement.
