Job Objective:
Applies specialized knowledge for the purchasing, prescribing, assessing, preparing, dispensing and monitoring of pharmaceutical, specialty pharmaceuticals, and investigational drugs used in the treatment of cancer and serious infections in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team in association with oncologists and infectious disease specialists. Provides oversight of support personnel and ensures the safe and effective management of high-cost agents in the treatment of high-risk patients using high-risk agents.
Job Description:
Education: Required: Doctor of Pharmacy degree from accredited School of Pharmacy Licensure/Certification: Required: California Board of Pharmacy License and active membership in ASHP or CSHP Experience: Required: Two (2) years hospital experience as a clinical Pharmacist Preferred: Completion of Pharmacy residency; oncology or infusion center experience; ASHP or ACCP oncology board certified; Published in peer-reviewed journals
