Long-Term Care Pharmacist | Details and Compensation:
- Location: Leesport, PA 19533 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $65.75/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Long-Term Care Pharmacist | Summary and Highlights:
The Long-Term Care Pharmacist supports pharmacy operations by reviewing, verifying, and dispensing medications in compliance with state and federal regulations. This role also provides medication consultation, maintains accurate patient records, and collaborates with healthcare professionals to promote safe and appropriate medication therapy.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Job Responsibilities
Long-Term Care Pharmacist | Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications in accordance with pharmacy standards and applicable laws
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation
- Counsel on prescription and non-prescription medications (usage, storage, dosing, side effects, interactions)
- Identify medication-related issues and communicate recommendations to healthcare providers
- Support pharmacy operations including inventory oversight and coordination with pharmacy staff
- Provide guidance and oversight to pharmacy technicians/clerks as needed
- Compound medications and assist with sterile preparation processes as required by site procedures

- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- License: Active Pharmacist license in Pennsylvania (in good standing)
