Pharmacist

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in preparing and dispensing medications and pharmaceutical supplies for both Inpatient and Outpatient care, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and providing exceptional pharmaceutical services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, compound, and dispense medications and pharmaceutical supplies accurately and efficiently.
• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, ensuring appropriate dosage and safety for patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide drug-related information and recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as institutional policies and procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with pharmacy technicians to ensure the availability of essential medications.
• Provide patient counseling and education as required.

Qualifications:

• Education & Certification:
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) required.
  • Must be a Registered Pharmacist in the state of New York (NYS).
• Experience:
  • Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in computer systems is preferred.

Work Schedule:

• Primary Shift: 2:30 PM 11:00 PM
• Secondary Shifts:
  • 1:00 PM 9:30 PM
  • 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
