Job Description
JOB DETAILS:
- Dispensing Medications: Fill prescription orders accurately according to doctor instructions.
- Safety & Interaction Checks: Review patient profiles for dangerous drug interactions, duplicate therapies, improper dosages, and allergies.
- Patient Counseling: Explain how to take prescribed drugs, potential side effects, and proper storage.
- Over-the-Counter (OTC) Advice: Recommend non-prescription products and refer customers to doctors when necessary.
- Staff Supervision: Manage and oversee pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
- Inventory Control: Order and stock prescription medications, OTC products, and supplies.
- Insurance Handling: Process insurance claims, resolve billing rejections, and communicate with prescribers.
- Compliance: Follow federal and state laws regarding controlled substances and pharmacy operations.
