We're seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team. In this role, you'll provide inpatient and outpatient pharmaceutical care, ensure the safe and accurate preparation and dispensing of medications, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Review and verify physician medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
Prepare, compound, package, and dispense sterile and non-sterile medications.
Monitor medication therapies and provide clinical recommendations.
Verify pharmacy technician work, including medication preparation, labeling, and order entry.
Perform medication reconciliation and provide discharge medication counseling.
Serve as a drug information resource for providers and hospital staff.
Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and controlled substance requirements.
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant pharmacy environment.
Assist the Director of Pharmacy with quality improvement initiatives, audits, and other departmental projects.
Participate in the shared pharmacist on-call rotation.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
Current Colorado Registered Pharmacist license.
Preferred
Hospital pharmacy residency or hospital pharmacy experience.
Experience with Unit Dose, IV Admixture, TPN, and pharmacokinetics.
