Provides information to all patients, patient families and colleagues to promote optimal utilization of drugs. Coordinates the delivery of effective, safe, and cost-effective drug therapy to all patients. Conducts clinical and pharmacoeconomic research in support of the hospital's medical staffs and to improve drug therapy. Provides daily oversight of pharmacy technician activities.

*Graduate from a college/school of Pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) OR graduate from a foreign college of pharmacy that has at least a five-year curriculum and has passed the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination (FPGEE) and become certified by the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Commission (FPGEC), required.

*Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited institution, preferred.

*Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Minnesota current or within three months of hire, required.

*Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification current or within 3 months of hire, required.

*PharmD degree or equal clinical experience preferred for decentral.

*Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred for decentral.

*Institutional or outpatient experience preferred, depending on position.

*Pediatric Residency, preferred.

*Board Certified Pediatric Pharmacy Specialist (BCPPS), preferred.

*Minnesota Board of Pharmacy preceptor license, preferred.
