Pharmacy Tech

Join our team in Morristown, NJ, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring efficient pharmacy operations within a hospital setting. We are seeking a dedicated professional to support our pharmacy team with various responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Filling Orders: Accurately fill orders for pharmacist review, prepare extemporaneous preparations, stock areas, manage cart/bin exchanges, and address patient profile issues.
• Distribution/Returns: Handle requests professionally via phone, window, fax, and computer, deliver medications, and manage returns from nursing stations.
• Teamwork: Support departmental goals, assist staff, and comply with coverage guidelines.
• Sterile Preparations: Prepare IVs aseptically, manage batched IV medications, and demonstrate strong knowledge of IV equipment and sterile techniques.
• Automated Dispensing Machine: Fill machines, address discrepancies, manage expired medications, and perform monthly inspections.
• Repackaging/Inventory Control: Repackage medications, manage expirations, handle recalls, and organize supplies.
• Performance Improvement/Customer Satisfaction: Answer inquiries courteously, handle issues independently, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience

Previous hospital pharmacy experience (2 years) preferred. Oncology/infusion center experience is a plus.

Schedule

8 PM - 7 AM, 7 shifts on, 7 shifts off, starting Thursday. Must have previous experience within a hospital setting.
